Cohoma Coffee Raises Rs 5 Crore in Seed Funding Round

Cohoma Coffee has secured Rs 5 crore in seed funding led by Inflection Point Ventures, with participation from Swishin VC. The capital will be used to scale in-house manufacturing and support the brand’s entry into international markets.

Integrated operations from bean to cup

Founded by Kanika Birla and Paritosh Birla, Cohoma Coffee operates from Ghaziabad under Kappa Coffee Pvt. Ltd. The company follows a fully integrated model, managing sourcing, roasting, packaging and equipment production within its own facilities.

Beans are procured from India, Africa and South America. Roasting and packaging take place in-house, and Cohoma also manufactures commercial coffee machines. The vertical approach gives the brand greater control over quality and consistency.

Multi-channel distribution and product range

Cohoma sells through direct-to-consumer online channels, presence in premium retail stores such as Nature’s Basket and Le Marche, and B2B supply to offices, hotels and cafes. For home users it offers brewing tools like French press, Aeropress and kettles.

The product portfolio includes drip coffee bags, cold brew, coffee capsules and instant coffee. The company highlights naturally flavoured options without added sugar or preservatives, including French Vanilla and Cinnamon Hazelnut.

Business performance and customer retention

The company reported revenue of about Rs 6.5 crore in FY25 and monthly recurring revenue near Rs 80 lakh. Customer loyalty is a notable strength, with more than 90% repeat purchase rate.

With the fresh funding, Cohoma plans to accelerate product development, expand manufacturing capacity and pursue overseas distribution to make its specialty, easy-to-prepare coffee available to a wider audience.
