Early life and education
Born into a family that valued culture and learning, Chakraborty showed early aptitude in literature and academics. He graduated First Class First from Asansol B.B. College and earned a First Class master’s degree from the University of Burdwan. He also holds a B.Ed. and is pursuing PhD research in Sanskrit.
Academic career
Chakraborty teaches in the Department of Sanskrit at T.D.B. College, Raniganj. His teaching style focuses on clarity and practical application, helping students overcome the perception of Sanskrit as difficult. He previously served as a guest lecturer at Asansol B.B. College.
Beyond routine classes, he works as a motivational speaker on career development, discipline and personal growth. His free online education programme has supported more than 3,000 students, reflecting a commitment to widening access to quality learning.
Literary work and scholarship
As a poet, author and editor, Chakraborty has written across Sanskrit and Bengali genres. His publications include editions and writings on Raghuvamśam, Bhaṭṭikāvyam, Rājavāhanacaritam and Śukanāsopadeśaḥ, as well as accessible texts such as Easy Sanskrit Grammar.
His book You Should Know Your Human Rights, published in the United States, attracted international attention. Another notable work, The Impact of Sanskrit on the World and Science, examines links between classical Sanskrit knowledge and modern scientific ideas.
He has also authored over 500 poems. Popular pieces like Nilanjana, Egiye Cholo and Chokher Bhasha have found strong readership, especially among younger audiences.

Chakraborty is active in performing arts as a singer, songwriter, tabla player and professional anchor. These activities broaden his engagement with diverse audiences.
