Atlys Raises $36 Million Series C to Expand Digital Visa Processing for International Travelers

Atlys, a visa-processing startup, has raised $36 million in a Series C round led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, with participation from existing backers Elevation Capital, Long Journey Ventures and Peak XV Partners, and a new strategic investor, travel platform MakeMyTrip. The fresh capital will drive global expansion and technology upgrades, including AI-enabled automation of core visa workflows.

A digital platform to simplify visa applications

Founded in 2021 by Mohak Nahta, Atlys provides an online platform that helps travellers determine visa requirements, complete applications and track their status. The service targets the traditionally labour-intensive visa process by reducing paperwork and consolidating steps on a single digital interface.

Atlys currently supports visa applications for more than 120 destinations worldwide, offering services such as document submission, eligibility checks and application monitoring to accelerate processing and reduce user effort.

Use of funds and technology strategy

The company intends to deploy the Series C proceeds to scale its international footprint and bolster its technology stack. A principal focus is the integration of artificial intelligence to automate tasks such as document verification, eligibility screening and status updates—functions that can shorten turnaround times and lower operational costs.

Growth, markets and traction

Atlys says it has processed over 450,000 visa applications to date and is operating at an annual run rate exceeding 700,000 applications. The startup has expanded beyond India into markets including the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia; these international markets now account for nearly half of its business.

As outbound travel recovers—particularly from large source markets such as India—investor interest in travel-tech solutions that simplify cross-border travel has increased, reflected in this funding round. Atlys aims to leverage the new capital to build a broader digital ecosystem that makes visa processing faster, more reliable and more accessible to global travellers.
