Betterhood Raises ₹5 Crore Seed Round to Build Preventive Platform for Chronic Pain Relief

Betterhood, a Mumbai-based paincare startup, has raised Rs 5 crore in a seed round led by Kairon Capital, reflecting strong investor interest in India’s preventive healthcare sector. The funds will be used to enhance the company’s technology platform, scale preventive programmes and expand its reach across the country.

Seed round and investors

The round was led by venture firm Kairon Capital and included participation from prominent angel investors such as Yogesh Kabra (founder, XYXX), Rishubh Satiya (Plix), Rohit Chawla and Sifat Khurana (Innovist), as well as sports scientist and performance coach Shayamal Vallabhjee. The infusion of capital aims to support product development, research and geographic expansion.

Focus on preventive paincare

Betterhood develops structured, science-backed programmes to help individuals manage and prevent chronic musculoskeletal pain—common complaints that include back, neck and joint pain among sedentary working professionals. The company emphasises early intervention and long-term management rather than episodic symptom relief.

Services and methodology

The startup’s model integrates physiotherapy, movement science and lifestyle modification delivered through a digital platform. By offering personalised care plans and remote professional guidance, Betterhood seeks to address root causes of pain and enable sustained functional improvement.

Use of funds and market outlook

Proceeds from the seed round will be allocated to technology enhancements, expansion of preventive programmes and building a research-driven paincare model that combines clinical expertise with digital tools. As awareness of preventive health grows in India, companies that offer scalable, evidence-based solutions for chronic pain are attracting investor attention.
