Happiness Cosmos LLP Introduces Preventive Healthcare Model via HRC Network Across India

As India faces rising lifestyle diseases and mounting treatment costs, a Kerala-based startup is rolling out a preventive healthcare model that emphasises early screening, lifestyle management and community engagement to reduce hospital dependency and improve population wellbeing.

Community-centred preventive care

Happiness Cosmos LLP, registered with Kerala Startup Mission and Startup India, is set to open its first Happiness Rejuvenation Center (HRC) in Peravoor, Kannur, this January. The HRCs are designed to deliver preventive and wellness services—early health screenings, fitness guidance, rejuvenation therapies and lifestyle counselling—under one roof.

The company says the centres aim to identify health risks early and encourage behaviour change before chronic conditions develop. “Healthcare should not begin when people fall sick. It should be part of everyday life,” said founder and chairman Sarayogi Biju Sivanandan, describing the shift from a hospital-centric to a community-centric model.

Scale-up plans and local access

Happiness Cosmos has announced plans to establish 500 HRCs across South India over the next three years. The decentralised network is intended to make preventive care accessible at the local level and to ease pressure on secondary and tertiary hospitals by promoting early intervention and health awareness at the community stage.

Technology-enabled monitoring

Technology forms a core pillar of the startup’s approach. The company is developing the HRC Lifering, a smart fitness ring to track key health indicators and reinforce daily wellness habits. In parallel, it is working on home-based preventive devices to help users monitor routine parameters conveniently—explicitly positioning these tools as complements to, not replacements for, clinical diagnosis or medical consultation.

Mission Healthy Kerala: grassroots mobilisation

Under the Mission Healthy Kerala outreach programme, Happiness Cosmos plans to train 100,000 health volunteers across 1,000 panchayats. Implemented with NGOs, corporate partners and local institutions, the volunteers will promote preventive healthcare, mental wellbeing, early screening and healthy lifestyle practices at the village and ward levels.

International partnership and expertise

To bolster its scientific and technological capabilities, the company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Jin Fusheng Biotechnology, a China-based firm established in 1998 that specialises in graphene-based medical and health technologies. The strategic tie-up is intended to facilitate the introduction of advanced preventive solutions into the Indian market.

Leadership and advisory team

Medical oversight for the initiative is provided by Dr. Arun Oomen, senior neurosurgeon and chief medical advisor. The founding team comprises Manoj Rohini, Manikandan P, Surya S Subash, Mohammed Shamseer, Abidha Abdul Rahiman and Nisha PP. Global engagement and advocacy are supported by Vijay Anand, Global Happiness Ambassador, while international business development is led by Arun Mohan, Vice President – Global Sales.

Positioning within India’s health discourse

As policymakers and health professionals increasingly emphasise prevention to curb the burden of non-communicable diseases, Happiness Cosmos’s model aligns with broader public-health priorities: integrating technology, community participation and accessible wellness infrastructure to make health promotion part of daily life rather than an episodic, hospital-centred response.
