ixigo-backed SqaaS launches ShellBot to deliver secure AI agents for everyday work automation

AI startup SqaaS, backed by travel-tech firm ixigo, has launched ShellBot, an autonomous AI agent platform that moves beyond conventional chat interfaces to perform tasks proactively across business workflows. The launch follows ixigo’s recent acquisition of a significant stake in the Spain-based company and signals its strategy to diversify into advanced AI solutions.

Autonomous, always-on digital assistant

ShellBot is positioned as a 24/7 digital assistant capable of handling routine and knowledge-work tasks without constant user prompts. The platform can manage emails, schedule meetings, conduct research, and assist with writing and coding, reducing manual overhead for professionals and teams.

The system integrates with widely used productivity and communication apps such as WhatsApp, Slack, Gmail and Microsoft Teams, enabling users to interact with agents through familiar channels. Each AI agent runs on a dedicated virtual environment, preserving context and past interactions to deliver progressively personalised and consistent performance.

Security, control and transparency

SqaaS has designed ShellBot with enterprise-grade controls: permission-based actions, confirmation prompts for sensitive operations, and safeguards to curb misuse. The platform also provides visibility into agent activities, allowing organisations and users to audit actions and maintain oversight.

With a focus on simple deployment and competitive pricing, ShellBot targets a broad user base—from freelancers and startups to larger enterprises—aiming to make proactive AI assistants accessible and practical for everyday business use.
