Kayess Square Raises ₹10 Crore in Pre-Series A to Expand Finance and Governance Advisory Services

Bengaluru-based advisory firm Kayess Square has raised ₹10 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Vakil Housing, with participation from several angel investors including Parthasarathy NS, Ramakrishna, Umashankar, Raveen Sastry, Vadiraj Katti, Suresh Pillay and Anand Narayanan. The capital will support the company’s national expansion, hiring and enhanced advisory capabilities across finance, governance and transaction services.

Growth plans and use of funds

The fresh funding arrives as Kayess Square seeks to deepen its presence in India’s growing startup and mid-market advisory sector. The firm will deploy the proceeds to strengthen its core team, invest in internal systems and broaden its service offering to meet rising client demand in areas such as financial advisory, governance frameworks, tax and transaction support.

Origins and service focus

Established in 2017 by founders Sathya Pramod and Shivadutt Bannanje, Kayess Square positions itself as a specialised advisor to startups, growth-stage companies and investors. It offers integrated solutions spanning CFO advisory, tax and regulatory compliance, corporate structuring, valuations, financial due diligence and M&A support.

Its client work ranges from early-stage incorporation and fundraising assistance to structured advisory for scaling, acquisitions and governance strengthening. The firm has also developed a fractional CFO model to provide senior finance leadership to firms that cannot sustain a full-time chief financial officer.

Track record and recent expansion

Kayess Square says it has completed thousands of advisory engagements across sectors including technology, manufacturing, consumer businesses and professional services. In 2025 the firm expanded its tax capability through the acquisition of the tax compliance and advisory arm of Consark Advisory Services LLP, bolstering expertise in both direct and indirect tax matters.

With the new capital, leadership plans to hire senior professionals and expand selectively into key business hubs, aiming to build an institution-led consulting practice that combines technical depth with execution-focused delivery.

Implications for the startup and SME ecosystem

The funding underscores growing demand for specialised advisory services in India as companies navigate tighter compliance regimes, complex fundraising structures and heightened governance expectations. By emphasising finance-led and governance-driven advisory, Kayess Square aims to support founders, promoters and investors in managing growth sustainably and meeting higher regulatory and investor standards.
