Gurugram-based proptech startup OfficeBanao has raised nearly $4 million (about ₹34–35 crore) in a fresh funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, signalling renewed investor confidence in companies modernising India’s commercial real estate and office interiors sector.
Funding to boost expansion and technology capabilities
Founded in 2022, OfficeBanao provides end-to-end workspace interior solutions, covering design, procurement and project execution. The company will use the new capital to expand operations across major metros and enter selected Tier II cities, while also investing in its technology platform and enlarging its team.
OfficeBanao’s platform links architects, designers, contractors and vendors, enabling businesses to manage office projects from concept to completion. The integrated model aims to reduce delays, control costs and improve transparency in pricing and execution quality—addressing common pain points in India’s largely fragmented interiors market.
Addressing gaps in India’s office interiors market
India’s office interiors industry has long been characterised by multiple smaller vendors, variable standards and limited visibility for clients. OfficeBanao targets startups, SMEs and large enterprises with a structured, tech-enabled approach that helps clients visualise designs, track progress and manage budgets in real time.
As hybrid and flexible work models gain traction, demand for customised, employee-centric workspaces is rising. OfficeBanao positions itself to capitalise on this shift by offering faster execution, standardised processes and improved decision-making tools for corporate real estate teams.
