Spintly Raises $8M Series A Led by Accel to Expand AI-Powered Smart Building Security Platform

Goa-based IoT and physical security startup Spintly has raised $8 million in a Series A round led by Accel, with participation from Enrission India Capital, SucSEED Ventures, Alumni Ventures and Chakra Growth Fund, underscoring growing investor confidence in India’s smart building and proptech sectors.

Product and technology

Founded in 2018, Spintly develops wireless, cloud-native access control and workforce management systems designed to replace legacy wired infrastructure in commercial properties. Its platform uses smartphone-based authentication and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh networking to provide keyless, scalable access management that integrates attendance tracking and administrative controls.

Market traction and deployments

Spintly’s solutions are deployed across corporate campuses, coworking spaces, technology parks and large enterprise facilities. By eliminating extensive cabling, the company reduces installation time and capital expenditure, making its offerings attractive to real estate developers, facility managers and enterprises adopting hybrid work models.

Expansion plans

The fresh capital will be used to accelerate growth in India and expand international operations, with targeted markets including the Middle East, Africa and the United States. Increased demand for integrated building-management systems and automated security has driven interest in cloud-first, IoT-enabled access solutions.

Use of funds

  • Sales and marketing: Strengthen distribution networks, forge strategic partnerships and scale customer acquisition across domestic and overseas markets.
  • Research and development: Invest in advanced analytics and AI-driven features for predictive security monitoring, operational optimisation and smarter system intelligence.
  • Operational scaling: Hire across engineering, product and business functions to support large-scale enterprise deployments and faster product iteration.

Sector context

Spintly’s Series A highlights rising investor interest in India’s proptech and IoT startups as enterprises prioritise secure, remotely manageable and easily deployable building technologies. The shift toward flexible workspaces and digitised security systems is creating new opportunities for access-control providers that offer cloud integration and analytics.

Outlook

With this funding, Spintly aims to deepen its technology stack and expand its market footprint, positioning itself to compete in the global smart-building market while contributing to the maturation of India’s enterprise IoT ecosystem.
